Malibu Hills Wedding in Southern California- Cece + Andrew
Cece and Andrew are two high school sweethearts who celebrated their love at Saddlerock Ranch deep in Malibu California. This wedding day was every wedding photographer's dream. Nothing was more beautiful than watching these two sweet souls enveloped by the Santa Monica Mountains and Southern California Sun. This exhilarating Malibu property is over 1,000 acres of beauty with 100 acres of vineyards. The property dates back 300 years when it was part of the Spanish Land Grant. It was used for sheep and cattle until the 1930’s and the owners took over in the 1970’s. With Such breathtaking scenes it is no wonder that Saddlerock Ranch has hosted weddings for many celebrities and rented out its property for the use of filming well known shows and movies.
Cece and Andrew were surrounded by family and friends as they stood at the very top of a Saddlerock mountain. The clear blue skies and Autumn sunshine looked perfect as Cece and Andrew sweetly vowed to spend their lives together. Once their beautiful ceremony came to an end, a very intimate reception began. After a short session of champagne and pork steamed bao buns, the guests took their seats with the astonishing Santa Monica Mountains as their backdrop. Speeches were filled with laughs and tear jerking stories about the start of Cece and Andrew’s love. A beautiful slide show followed so that guests could see the two love struck students who clearly knew even then that this love was a forever kind of love. Many guests needed to dry their happy tears after that. Soon after, dinner was served and I loved seeing their Chinese culture highlighted throughout their wedding. The Ox tongue cake pastries and Hong Kong egg tarts stole my attention at the dessert table.
Knowing that this mountainous Malibu sunset view would soon disappear in moonlight greetings saddened me, but the twinkle lit dance floor gave us another view to marvel at. Guests were so excited to dance the night away, but the excitement only escalated as the bride and groom appeared on the dance floor in full blown unicorn costumes. Truly, my favorite bride and groom outfit change of all time!
